Key Responsibilities

As part of the Individual Giving team, you will be involved in several exciting initiatives, including our new strategic approach known as IGNITE. IGNITE represents the Global individual-giving community and focuses on incorporating Learning Agility as a framework in our current transformational journey towards Agile.

Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting with organizing events, workshops, resources, webinars, and content curation to support our new cultural framework.
  • Compiling data and insights for reporting on IGNITE performance.
  • Keeping our platforms, such as Resource Centres and Sites, relevant and up-to-date.
  • Supporting Community Management of our Communities of Practice when required.
  • Reviewing our current e-learning offerings on Agora, our internal training platform, and updating content as needed.
  • Completing administrative requirements for our education monthly newsletter.
  • Assisting our Email Marketing expert in creating emails or designing community experiences.
  • Participating in other tasks as they arise in alignment with our strategy.

Remote Internship Details:

  • Modality: Paid – Full time
  • Tentative start date: 11 September 2023
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Reporting: The intern will work remotely and report to the Talent and Knowledge Management Specialist.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this remote Internship, you should:

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. degree program or have graduated within the past two years, with a focus on Marketing, Fundraising, Communication, Political Sciences, or a related field.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles, taking the initiative to explore new ideas, and proactively identifying areas for growth.
  • Possess a natural proactiveness and the ability to take ownership of your work, set goals, and develop action plans.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Have a strong focus on achieving results.
  • Be interested in the social sector and UNICEF’s mission.
  • Previous work experience or volunteering in a developing country is considered an asset.
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of another UN language is an asset).
  • Exhibit excellent academic performance as reflected in recent university or institution records.
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g., parents, siblings) working in any UNICEF office, and no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.
